WHAT ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT?

Right now, these interview questions. 🙂 But I’ll probably pick up Shoe Dog again soon and finally finish it. I lost my copy and had to order a new one.

WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST FEARS RIGHT NOW OR IN GENERAL?

My biggest fear is the fact that life is finite and that we don’t know what comes after. Especially now that life feels so good. Maybe that perspective changes with age, but right now, the idea of it all ending feels strange.

And as a father, there’s always that fear of something happening to my family that’s out of my control. My wife and kids are the most valuable thing in my life. As long as they’re fine, I’m fine, no matter what else is happening.

HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THESE FEARS?

I think most people share these fears, whether they say it or not. You can’t avoid the idea of mortality, but you can decide how to live with it. My way of handling it is to focus on the good. Enjoy life, don’t take everything too seriously, and stay grateful. It sounds simple, but it really helps. Enjoy every day with the people you love. And who knows, maybe it’s not the end at all, just another part of the journey.
