HOW DO YOU KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED?
With workouts, motivation comes naturally. I started seeing progress fast, and running has brought a lot of positive change into my life. Since I’ve been consistent, I feel more balanced, more creative, I sleep better, and at 42 I’m in the best shape of my life. For years I struggled with high blood pressure. A few weeks ago, I had a check-up and my results were perfect for the first time. That’s the kind of progress that keeps me going.
In my work, what motivates me most is when people connect with what I do. Of course it’s great when well-known DJs support my music, but the real reward is when listeners feel it. Whether it’s a track, a piece of merch, or a new format for a compilation, I love when people get it.

DO YOU ENJOY COMPETITION AND PUSHING YOURSELF?
Definitely. Without a bit of competition, I’d probably lose interest. That’s part of why I signed up for a half marathon, with the goal of finishing under 1 hour 50 minutes.
It’s not about beating others, it’s about beating time. The event itself is what motivates me. I imagine the energy of the crowd, the noise, the moment. It reminds me of playing a DJ set. The best sets don’t happen alone at home, they happen in a club or at a festival. The crowd gives you that push, that extra level. I think it’ll be the same with the race.
In music, competition works differently. With all the tools available now, from sample libraries to AI, it’s easier than ever to make music, which means there’s more competition. Standing out in that crowd keeps me sharp.
